Of course you can watch TV on PC. A long time ago prehistoric people made spears to use as weapons and discovered that these implements were also useful for holding pieces of meat over a fire. Ever since those days people have loved to find new uses for old inventions.

Sometime after the first car was invented someone discovered that parts of the engine got hot enough to cook food. Since then “engine block cooking” has become a hobby for many people. At one time kids who felt they were too old for roller skates tossed them aside in search of more exciting games. When some enterprising child nailed the old metal skates to a wooden board the first skateboard was invented.Since then skateboarding has become an internationally popular sport and the basis of many lucrative businesses.

A new sport for human beings doesn’t stop there. Before long people were teaching their pet dogs, cats, monkeys and birds how to ride a skateboard. Videos of animals on skateboards are all over the internet and often show up unbidden in the morning email.

At one time people were pretty happy with a phone that allowed them to talk to their friends and loved ones across town or in the next state. Now if a phone doesn’t take pictures, connect to the internet and tell you how to get to where you want to go it’s considered an underachiever.

Television and computers are the major influences in the lives of Americans today. It was only a matter of time before these two forces would meet and merge. Now you don’t have to choose between the TV and the PC you can watch TV on PC. Anything you want to watch can easily be found with the help of a search engine. Many programs are available for free. At one time watching on a tiny laptop monitor might have been a problem but now you can get large flat-screen monitors or connect your PC to your television.
