If you want a really powerful fire mage and dominate in PvE as well as in PvP, choose the following glyphs for maximum burning carnage on the battlefield.
Glyphs are another additional way to tweak your character and throws in a lot of options. But I’ll make it really easy to understand.
And I’m only going to talk about major glyphs because they are the ones that make the difference.
And before I forget…
If your fire mage isn’t at level 80 yet, these glyphs will give you a slight boost for your mage leveling.
First, let’s recap what’s actually available to use, then I’ll just straight out tell you what to pick.
Sounds great?
Fireball – Level 15 – Major Glyph
Increases the critical strike chance of Fireball by 5%, but removes the damage over time effect.
Scorch – Level 20 – Major Glyph
Increases the damage of your Scorch spell by 20%
Living Bomb – Level 60 – Major Glyph
The periodic damage from your Living Bomb can now be critical strikes.
Molten Armor – Level 62 – Major Glyph
Your Molten Armor spell grants an additional 20% of your spirit as critical strike rating.
The order in which to get them:
When you hit level 15, grab Fireball. You’re going to use Fireball all the time, so this Glyph becomes really effective. Fire builds are all about crit. rating and the DoT isn’t so great anyway.
Get Scorch as soon as you hit level 30.
And one more thing: If you want more in-depth analysis and reasoning, read a mage guide. This quick list is only an overview for people who want to push their DPS.
Once you got these, it’s pretty straight forward until you hit level 60-62. You’ll get some additional great major glyphs and you can switch your old ones. I suggest you grab Molten Armor now.
The reason?
Instead of making one spell stronger, this Glyph increases your overall global crit. ratio. Go for Molten Armor.
If you want to, you can also go for Living Bomb but you can just as well leave it at that. A few more levels and you’re a damage dealing machine that can dominate the battlegrounds.
To speed things up, grab a solid mage leveling guide. As soon as you hit level 80 you can join an areana team and start collecting the PvP gear. This is where the real fun starts for a mage!
